A secret place for stuff

Here's a couple of shots of the attic storage. There is additional support under the flooring. Climbing up there with no ladder was interesting, but not nearly as interesting as getting down. The duct work does take up some of the space but I can walk up there without having to hunch over.

  1. I live by the rule that anything worth storing in the attic is worth throwing away! haha. After a few military moves, my wife got proficient at throwing crap away.

  2. That would be a nice place to store Christmas decorations! Other than that, I'm with Sgt. Rich. I donate or throw away a lot of stuff that's not in use!

  3. Looks like a decent amount of space there. It is not even an option here to get additional flooring support and to have the pull downstairs.

  4. Is that the view from the access through the laundry room? Ours doesn't look anything like that. Like you, we had asked RH to move the attic storage access to the laundry room but in our case it wasn't done. Our PM had promised us that they will do it after settlement. A month after moving into the house, now they are telling me that it cannot be done. I hope you don't mind if I showed these photos to our PM. Thanks.

    1. Carly, yes that is the view when I go through the access door in the laundry room. They had to make changes to the framing in that section to accommodate that request. I'm not sure how they can do that after the fact. I don't mind you sharing the pictures. Thanks.
